At home in Wanyange, GVCP founder Anne Muyanga brings her guiding hand to seven of the fourteen children and young people who we currently care for at her home. Meanwhile seven other kids in our care live nearby in GVCP supported family settings.
The GVCP Provides Uniforms, Tuition & Scholastic Materials

The GVCP provides tuition, uniforms and scholastic materials for all of the children in our program. Additionally, on-campus room and board is currently provided for our four university level students.
Josh Prepares for Tomorrows Classes

Using one of the computers purchased with donor funding, Josh prepares for tomorrow’s school classes. Josh’s mother died when he was a year and a half old. When he was three and a half years old, as his elderly grand parents could no longer meet his needs, he was welcomed into our GVCP family.
Teaching Our Young People to Care for Their Environment

Teaching our young people how to effectively care for their environment – and their community – are also core elements of our GVCP philosophy. With their barrel full of tree saplings, here is our gang engaging in one such community service project – a local effort in Wanyange to reforest the urban landscape.

How I fell in love with the Global Village Children’s Project

Nearly 20 years ago I attended a local conference on the impact of the AIDS pandemic in Africa. Anne Muyanga, who later become my dear friend and colleague, was a presenter at that program. She told a story that touched, and soon won, my heart.
